    Help & Support

New to TurfHome? Here's how to get the most out of it. Tap a topic to expand.

    Adding a reading
    1. Tap the + button in the bottom nav.
    2. Pick which tools you used — TDR, Shear, and/or Clegg. You can select any combination.
    3. Enter values for each zone on the field grid (Left/Center/Right Field, base lines, infield).
    4. Add the date, weather, and any notes, then tap Submit.
Your readings save to your team and show up on the Today screen and in Reports.
    Saving & resuming drafts
If you're interrupted mid-entry, tap Save draft — TurfHome keeps your moisture (TDR/Shear) and Clegg entries separately. Next time you open the Add wizard, you'll be offered to resume everything you had in progress at once, or discard it and start fresh.
Viewing reports & exporting to CSV
Open the Reports tab to see readings over time with charts and a date filter. Use the Export option to download your data as a CSV you can open in Excel or Google Sheets.
    Fields & zones
Each field has its own set of zones and its own reading history. Switch between fields with the field selector at the top of Reports. Admins can rename fields and adjust the sport/zone layout.
    Building your own custom field
Want a field mapped to exactly where your crew takes readings? Team admins can build one from scratch:
    1. Go to the You tab and open Team Admin.
    2. Under Add Field, type a name (e.g. "Main Diamond"), pick the sport — Baseball/Softball, AFL, Soccer, or American Football — and tap Add Field.
    3. In the Field Setup section, tap ✎ Build Field to open the Field Builder.
    4. Choose your new field from the Field dropdown, then pick a reading-type tab (TDR, Shear, Clegg, Moisture, Traction) — each type gets its own set of spots.
    5. Click the field map to drop a reading spot wherever your crew measures. Add up to 50 spots per reading type. Tap Expand Map for a bigger canvas, and click any pin to remove it.
    6. Zones are detected automatically from where you place spots (you can override them).
    7. Tap ✓ Save Field Config to publish it to your whole team.
Your custom field is now available everywhere — pick it when adding a reading and in Reports. Only admins can create or edit fields; everyone on the team can log readings against them.
    Team & account
Manage your profile and sign out from the You tab. Team admins get a Team Admin tab to invite members, change roles, upload a team logo, and manage the subscription.
