Privacy Policy

Turf Home LLC ("Turf Home," "we," "us") makes the Turf Home website at turfhome.app and the Turf Home app for iPhone and iPad (together, the "Service"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We don't sell your personal information, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Information we collect
Account information. When you or your team admin create your account, we collect your first and last name and email address. If you sign in with a password, it is handled by our authentication provider (Google Firebase) and we never see or store it in plain text. If you use Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address (or Apple's private relay email, if you choose to hide your email) from that provider.
Profile and team information. Information you choose to add, such as a profile photo, an "about me" note, your team or facility name, a team logo, and team contact details like an address, contact name, and phone number. We also store your role on each team (for example, admin or standard member).
Field data. The readings and notes you and your crew enter, such as moisture, traction, and compaction measurements, the fields and zones they belong to, when they were taken, and which team member submitted them. This data belongs to your team and is visible to the members of that team.
Billing information. Subscriptions are purchased on our website, not in the iOS app. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive and store your subscription status and Stripe customer and subscription IDs, but your full card number is collected and stored by Stripe, never by us.
Contact and support information. If you fill out a form on our website (for example, to hear from us or to start a free trial), or send us a support request or feature idea from the app, we collect what you provide, such as your name, email, team name, and message.
Information stored on your device. The Service saves a few settings in your browser or app (for example, an in-progress reading draft or whether you've already seen our sign-up form) so it works smoothly. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics or tracking tools.
How we use your information
- To provide the Service: sign you in, show your team's fields and readings, generate reports and charts, and let admins manage team members.
- To process your subscription and manage billing through Stripe.
- To send account emails, such as team invitations and password resets.
- To respond to support requests and feature ideas.
- To send product updates and tips if you've given us your email through one of our forms. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run Turf Home, and only as needed for them to do that work:

Within your team, your name, email, role, and the readings you submit are visible to other members of that team. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger or sale of our business (in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information).
How long we keep it
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Team field data is kept for as long as the team exists. When you delete your account or a team is deleted, we delete the associated information from our active systems, except where we need to keep certain records (such as billing records and past support conversations) for legal, tax, or accounting purposes.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app: go to You (your profile), tap Delete account, and confirm. This permanently deletes your login and profile, including your profile photo.
- If other people are on your team, you are removed from the team, and the team's fields and readings stay with the team. If you're the team's only admin, you'll be asked to make someone else an admin first.
- If you're the only member of a team, that team and all of its data are deleted too, and its subscription is canceled.
You can also email us at hello@turfhome.app and we'll delete your account for you.
Your choices and rights
- Access and update: you can view and edit your name, photo, and profile details in the app at any time.
- Marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or contact us.
- Other requests: depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to certain uses. Email us and we'll respond within the time required by law. We won't treat you differently for exercising these rights.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls that limit each team's data to its members, and trusted infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep your login private.
Children
The Service is built for professional grounds crews and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Where your data is stored
Turf Home is based in the United States, and our service providers store and process information in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above, and if the changes are significant we'll let you know in the app or by email.
